SUPERNOVA Jr Emerging Scientists Journal is an independent publication and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially associated with any educational institution, organization, curriculum, or educational framework.
Many members of our team have experience working within inquiry-based educational models and internationally recognized educational programs. As a result, the journal naturally reflects many of the values promoted by these approaches, including curiosity, critical thinking, scientific literacy, communication, reflection, and ethical responsibility.
SUPERNOVA Jr was created as a passion project by educators who believe that all children deserve opportunities to engage with science in meaningful ways.
At this stage, all members of the Editorial Team volunteer their time and expertise without receiving financial compensation. Every aspect of the journal from reviewing submissions to editing articles, designing layouts, and coordinating publication is carried out during our personal time and our own means because we share a common goal: fostering a love of science among young people in Mexico and Around the World.
We recognize that, as a young and volunteer-driven initiative, there are still many challenges ahead and many aspects of the project that will continue to evolve and improve over time. We are learning, growing, and building this community one step at a time.
At present, the journal does not generate income and participation is entirely free of charge. We have not yet established a long-term financial model for sustaining the project. While we remain open to exploring funding opportunities, sponsorships, partnerships, or other forms of support in the future, our commitment remains unchanged:
“SUPERNOVA Jr will always be free to read and free to participate in.”
We believe that scientific knowledge should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic background, school, country, or educational system. Our mission is rooted in the democratization of science, research, and scientific communication.
For this reason, the journal remains independent and unaffiliated with any single institution. We want students from all schools, communities, and regions of the world to feel equally welcome to participate and contribute.
We also recognize that, at present, publication itself is the primary form of recognition we can offer our young authors. While we hope to develop scholarships, awards, grants, certificates, competitions, and other opportunities in the future, our current focus is on creating a meaningful and authentic publication experience.
Because of this, we ask educators, families, and mentors to help us cultivate something increasingly rare and valuable: participation driven by curiosity, discovery, and a genuine love of science.
“Together, we can help create a world where every young scientist has a voice.”
