M.Sc. Nahieli Silva Cassani
Founder & Editor-in-ChiefCuriosity, inquiry, and scientific literacy are at the heart of Nahieli´s educational philosophy. As the Science Department Coordinator at Westhill Institute, as well as MYP Biology teacher, veterinarian, and researcher, she is dedicated to creating authentic learning experiences that empower students to ask meaningful questions, investigate the world around them, and communicate their ideas with confidence. Nahieli holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Livestock Production from UNAM's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FMVZ). Her contributions to scientific literature include a peer-reviewed research article and a published book chapter on the topic of “Livestock Production for Climate Change”.
As Founder and Editor-in-Chief of SUPERNOVA Jr Emerging Scientists Journal, Nahieli oversees the journal's editorial vision and publication process while also supporting the review of Biology and General Science submissions. Through SUPERNOVA Jr, she hopes to inspire young people to see themselves as scientists and to recognize that their ideas and discoveries have a place within the global scientific community.

M.Sc. Yael Fonseca Guzmán
Passionate about science education and lifelong learning, Yael currently serves as Head of Science at Olinca International School, where she teaches IB Diploma Programme Biology and Chemistry while promoting inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and authentic scientific experiences. Yael holds a Master's degree in Science from UNAM's Institute of Cellular Physiology and is currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education through the University of Buckingham. With experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Systems and Societies, she is dedicated to helping students develop both scientific understanding and a genuine appreciation for discovery.
As a member of the SUPERNOVA Jr Editorial Committee, she supports the review of Biology and Chemistry submissions and is committed to encouraging young scientists to explore meaningful questions, communicate their ideas, and grow as confident scientific thinkers.

M.Sc. Juan José Salas Fukutake
Passionate about science education and student learning, Juan José is dedicated to helping students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills through Physics. He currently teaches IB Diploma Programme Physics at Westhill Institute, where he promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of scientific principles. Juan José holds a Master's degree in Education from Tecnológico de Monterrey and has extensive experience supporting students in rigorous academic programs. He also serves as an International Baccalaureate (IB) examiner, contributing to the quality and standards of international assessment.
As a member of the SUPERNOVA Jr Editorial Committee, he supports the review of Physics and Math submissions and is committed to encouraging young scientists to explore complex ideas with curiosity, precision, and confidence.

Passionate about mathematics, physics, and science education, Orlando is dedicated to helping students develop strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of São Paulo and currently teaches Mathematics at The American School Foundation.
With a strong academic background and a commitment to excellence in education, he enjoys supporting students as they explore complex scientific and mathematical concepts. As a member of the SUPERNOVA Jr Editorial Committee, he supports the review of Physics and Mathematics submissions and is committed to encouraging young scientists to approach scientific challenges with curiosity, rigor, and confidence.
Monica Flores Ponce de León
Passionate about innovative education and meaningful learning experiences, Mónica Flórez is dedicated to designing engaging, student-centered approaches that foster curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving. With more than a decade of experience in STEAM education, curriculum development, and educational technology, she works to create learning environments that inspire students to explore, question, and connect their learning to the real world.
As a member of the SUPERNOVA Jr Editorial Committee, she supports the review of interdisciplinary science communication and educational innovation submissions. She is committed to helping young scientists develop confidence in their ideas, communicate their discoveries effectively, and cultivate a lifelong passion for learning.
